Introduction

English:

If we want to go to nearby places, we walk. But to go to faraway places, we use vehicles such as bicycle, scooter, car, autorickshaw and bus. Vehicles help us to move from one place to another.

Hindi:

यदि हमें पास की जगह पर जाना होता है तो हम पैदल चलते हैं। लेकिन दूर की जगहों पर जाने के लिए हम साइकिल, स्कूटर, कार, ऑटो रिक्शा और बस जैसे वाहनों का उपयोग करते हैं। वाहन हमें एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान तक पहुँचाने में मदद करते हैं।

Means of Transport

English:

The movement of people and goods from one place to another is called transport. There are mainly three means of transport: land transport, water transport and air transport.

Hindi:

लोगों और सामान को एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान तक ले जाने की प्रक्रिया को परिवहन कहते हैं। परिवहन के मुख्य रूप से तीन प्रकार होते हैं – स्थल परिवहन, जल परिवहन और वायु परिवहन।

Land Transport

English:

Land transport refers to the transport of people and goods on land. Many vehicles move on roads and tracks with the help of wheels.

Hindi:

स्थल परिवहन वह परिवहन है जिसमें लोगों और सामान को जमीन पर एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान तक ले जाया जाता है। अधिकतर वाहन पहियों की सहायता से चलते हैं।

English (Examples):

Bicycle, tonga, autorickshaw, motorcycle, car, bus, truck, train, metro and tractor are examples of land transport.

Hindi:

साइकिल, तांगा, ऑटो रिक्शा, मोटरसाइकिल, कार, बस, ट्रक, ट्रेन, मेट्रो और ट्रैक्टर स्थल परिवहन के उदाहरण हैं।

Water Transport

English:

Water transport is the transport that takes place on water. Boats and ships are used to travel on rivers, lakes and seas.

Hindi:

जल परिवहन वह परिवहन है जो पानी में होता है। नदियों, झीलों और समुद्रों में यात्रा करने के लिए नाव और जहाज का उपयोग किया जाता है।

Boat, steamer, yacht and ship are means of water transport.

Hindi:

नाव, स्टीमर, याच और जहाज जल परिवहन के साधन हैं।

Air Transport

English:

Air transport is the fastest means of transport. Vehicles like aeroplanes and helicopters fly in the air.

Hindi:

वायु परिवहन परिवहन का सबसे तेज़ साधन है। हवाई जहाज और हेलीकॉप्टर हवा में उड़ते हैं।

Glider, aeroplane and helicopter are means of air transport.

Hindi:

ग्लाइडर, हवाई जहाज और हेलीकॉप्टर वायु परिवहन के उदाहरण हैं।

Communication

English:

When we talk to someone or write to someone, it is called communication. Communication helps us to share our thoughts and feelings.

Hindi:

जब हम किसी से बात करते हैं या लिखते हैं, तो उसे संचार कहते हैं। संचार के माध्यम से हम अपने विचार और भावनाएँ दूसरों तक पहुँचाते हैं।

Means of Communication

English:

Letters, newspapers, telephone, mobile phone, television, radio and e-mails are means of communication.

Hindi:

पत्र, समाचार पत्र, टेलीफोन, मोबाइल फोन, टेलीविजन, रेडियो और ई-मेल संचार के साधन हैं।
